About Us
Locally owned and operated by Meredith Ruhmann, Deano's Senior Transit understands that life presents many challenges. As health alters, so too does lifestyleā€”impacting where people live, what they eat, and how they get around. These are realities I faced while caring for my mother.
In 2006, I found it increasingly difficult to provide her with the necessary care due to dementia, which required 24-hour assistance from a dedicated team. While her time at the nursing care center was positive, with decent food and a comfortable room, her mobility issues presented challenges. She had always loved the outdoors, so we often strolled through gardens in her wheelchair, navigating the hallways as best we could. However, when it came time for her medical appointments, we struggled to find a reliable transportation service that could accommodate her needs with the care and compassion she deserved.
